DC Little one(s)

Hello crafters!

This week I picked the challenge fort he Daring Cardmakers.

This week we want to see

LITTLE ONE(S)

Either cards for the little babies and young children in your life

or

you use tiny little letters, sentiments or images on your card!

I made some baby cards with some pre-stamped images from my stash and a cute patterened paper pad in pastell colours.

We also tested my friend's new purchase: this cute duck family😊.

DC Spots and stripes

Hello crafters!

This week Kathy from the Daring Cardmakers challenges you to use

spots and stripes

on your cards.

I tried to use up the last scraps of a paper pad, which I love, but which I had for quite a long time now ... and I try to use up what I have before I buy new craft supplies.

This is a fun fold card. So I used spots on one layer, stripes on the other and combined it with a floral design.

DC March Elemental Inspiration

 Hello crafters,

Yay! March is here … and that means that spring is just around the corner. It’s still freezing cold here with minus degrees in the morning, but the sun is already getting stronger and shining a lot longer.

I picked this spring picture for the Daring Cardmakers:

Get inspired and use three elements from the picture on your card.

I chose a bird, flowers, branches and soft pastell colours.

After trying out a few ways to use this scene die set I really like using white cardstock at the moment and then colouring all the different elements.

Get inspired and crafty … and show us your results!

DC Treat yourself

Hello crafters!

This Friday Nat from the Daring Cardmakers brings us a new challenge:

Treat yourself!

Make a card featuring something that's a treat, or using something that you have treated yourself to!

I love treating myself from time to time. My coffee maschine at home makes great coffee, but I don’t even own a milk frother. So if I treat myself to a coffee in a nice café/bakery, I always pick a cappuchino or latte macchiato to enjoy the foamed milk…

What’a treat for you? Or did you treat yourself with a crafty purchase lately?

DC Waxing lyrical

Hello crafty ladies!

Joanne from the Daring Cardmakers has a new challenge for you:

Waxing lyrical

Find a way to incorporate wax into your project — it might be figuratively (an image of candles, perhaps) or literally (e.g. use a wax crayon or candle to create a resist, try out a technique like this or this with wax paper, break out the encaustic wax and iron if you have them).

I used my sealing wax + seal on the card. It helps to keep the feather in place … I’m not sure if I love it though … it might look better on an envelope.

DC All loved up

Hey crafters!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and the Daring Cardmakers bring you some lovely inspiration.

Dawn picked the topic:

All loved up!

I made two Valentine’s cards … for my two special female Valentine friends. A few years we started the tradition to either meet at Valentine’s Day (if it’s in the holidays or at a weekend) or send each other cards.

This year it’s cards on the 14th and a „Valentine’s breakfast“ next weekend 😊.

And being in a love-hearts-red&pink mood … I used up a paper pad and made some bookmarks with the leftover scraps.

DC Around the house

Hello crafty people!

Have a happy Friday and an awesome week ahead!

Joanne from the Daring Cardmakers gives you another challenge to get crafty:

Around the house!

You can either use a household object as part of your creation (e.g. foil from the kitchen, dry wall tape from the tool box, scrape a design into paint with the prongs of a fork) or use an image of a household object as your focal point (e.g. a TV, a food mixer, a games console). You could do both for extra virtual brownie points if the mood takes you!

I recently found this paper pad with die cut images and small patterened paper rectangles in my stash. The die cut images are cute … but they don’t really fit on my cards and with my personal cardmaking style. So I decided to use the cutest of them and turn them into mini paper projects that fit on an envelope.

So now I have cute decorated envelopes and used up another paper pad (yay!).

The envelopes don’t match the cards that I will send in them. But that doesn’t bother me … and they will probably end up in a recycling bin anyway (which is fine! I had fun making them and it made the post man and the recipient happy! Win – win – win situation! Goals achieved!).

For this challenge I even combined Joanne‘s challenges: I decorated envelopes (=household items) with die cut images of household items (drinking glasses, a telephone etc.) 😊.

What’s your idea? Make a card or other crafty project and share it with us!
