DC Oh man!

Hello, crafters! It’s Friday again 😊 and here is the new Daring Cardmakers challenge.

Kathy finds it tricky to create cards for men. Especially if they are too old fur cute childrens‘ cards. Luckily there’s a lot of inspiration on our blog.

My card was more male without the ballons … 

… so I tried again. Wow, that is indeed a tricky challenge for me!

I think the geometric background and the colours are quite good for men. I’m not too sure about the monsters though. I should make more male cards soon!

Kathy steht vor der Herausforderung Karten für Männer zu basteln, die für süße Karten für kleine Jungs so langsam zu groß werden …

Das Problem kenne ich nur zu gut. 

Hier ist mein Versuch. Mit dem geometrischen Hintergrund und den Farben bin ich ganz zufrieden. Die Luftballons sind eigentlich schon wieder zu niedlich und ob die Monster so passen, weiß ich auch nicht … da muss ich dieses Jahr definitiv noch ein paar männlichere Karten produzieren!

I created a number card. Another one of my brothers will turn 30 this year … which makes me quite old 😉.

DC so many candles

Hello! This week it’s my turn to set the dare for all Daring Cardmakers out there …

SO MANY CANDLES!

I want to see one or more candles on your cards.

I had this idea in my mind forever – or actually since I saw it quite some time ago somewhere in the huge world wide web. You can make your own candles by rolling up paper. (And I learned that it works much better with wrapping paper than with scrapboking paper). I just added some flames cut from yellow paper and the wick with a black pen.

SO VIELE KERZEN!

Seit Ewigkeiten will ich diese tollen Kerzen aus gerolltem Papier ausprobieren. Und endlich kam die Gelegenheit. Meine nicht ganz so erstaunliche Entdeckung: Es klappt mit Geschenkpapier deutlich besser als mit dickerem Scrapbookingpapier 😊.

Und je nach verwendetem Papier, ist das auch durchaus als Männerkarte einsetzbar.

It’s Friday – and February! So here is the Daring Cardmaker’s monthly inspirational picture.

We want you to pick three things from this picture and use them on your card.

I picked the denim fabric, pink yarn, a little heart and a button and created a „new home“ card.
