DC In Safe Keeping

Thank God it’s Friday. And here’s the new Daring Cardmakers challenge.

Today it's Zuzana here and I have a question for you. Are you using the postal mail or do you prefer modern internet ways to send your letters?
I've chosen a challenge called

In Safe Keeping 

 to remind us of the old fashioned way to write the letters, using pen and luxury letter writing paper stationery!

 I dare you to create cards with pockets and/or envelopes on.

I used this small envelope (thanks, M. It was a great present!) on my card. The sentiment says: “How should I say it?”

And if the message is too personal or complicated, you can write it in the envelope …

… and then attach the envelope to the card. (I just think the card looks quite plain without the envelope.... I might add something else)

Juhuuu. Es ist Freitag und hier kommt die neue Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers. 

Zuzana fordert euch heraus Karten zu basteln, auf denen sich ein Umschlag oder eine Tasche befindet.

Diese Woche durfte ich für die Daring Cardmakers das Thema raussuchen. Ich möchte Kopfbedeckungen jeder Art sehen: Partyhüte, Schutzhelme, Wollmützen, Kronen, Sonnenhüte etc.

Dani Peuss Karten-Kit

My favourite online shop is now offering a monthly card making kit!

Im Herbst habe ich nach einigen Jahren das Abo meiner Bastelzeitschrift gekündigt. Einer Freundin habe ich erzählt, dass ich stattdessen lieber ab und zu mal eines dieser zusammen gestellten Bastelkits kaufen möchte. Was mich bisher immer ein wenig abgeschreckt hatte war, dass alle mir bekannten Kits für Scrapbooker zusammen gestellt waren (und manche Dinge für Karten doch etwas unpraktisch/zu großformatig  waren). 

Meine Freude war groß als ich entdeckt habe, dass Dani Peuss dieses Jahr neben dem Kit für Scrapbooker auch ein spezielles Kit  für Kartenbastler anbietet. Und das jeden Monat. 

Das Januar -Kit musste ich gleich bestellen … und ich bin begeistert!!!

DC January Blues

Today there’s a simple challenge at the Daring Cardmakers blog:

January Blues

You are free to use the title however you want; it could be a "just to cheer you up" or "sorry to hear you're feeling blue" card,  a card with shades of blue as the main colour, or something else inspired by the heading.  Lets chase the January Blues away with some quality time spent getting creative!

I thought I should use the colour scheme to create a male birthday card. Here it is.

Wir starten ganz einfach und entspannt ins neue Jahr. Das Thema der Woche bei den Daring Cardmakers lautet:

Verwendet die Farbe blau oder bastelt eine Aufmunterungskarte.

DC Elemental inspiration for January

We Daring Cardmakers decided to try something different from last year’s colour combination on the first Friday of each month.

Kathy picked the first picture and explains our idea to you.

"Elemental Inspiration"

Here's how it works;

The DT will take turns to choose and post a picture - it could be a photo, a piece of artwork, or maybe a little montage of  bits and pieces we like.  

Each of these pictures will have a variety of "elements" that we hope will inspire you to get crafting - and we'd like you to use a minimum of THREE.of the elements you see to make a card  

 For instance  the colour combo could be one element, the LO another, and then there may be a landscape, items in the picture, a quote, stitching lines, the media used to create the picture - all sorts of things.  

We will add a little list of suggested elements each month, but you're bound to see more things you can use

I used the following elements: vintage lady, parasol, panels, stitching, colours, quote on different panels.

Für dieses Jahr haben wir Daring Cardmakers uns etwas Neues für euch überlegt. Statt der üblichen Farbherausforderung am ersten Freitag jeden Monats, möchten wir, dass ihr euch noch mehr von unseren ausgewählten Bildern inspirieren lasst.

Verwendet mindestens drei Elemente des Inspirationsbildes auf eurer Karte. Die gewählten Elemente könnten zum Beispiel der Spruch, die Farben, die Motive etc. sein.

Was meint ihr? Ich denke, ihr solltet es einfach mal ausprobieren =)!
