"S" for September

Hello, crafty friends! Sorry that I’ve been absent for a while … the new school year started two weeks ago and even though I prepared a lot during the holidays, I was so very busy these first two weeks.

Now it’s slowly getting better and I’m on my way back into a work day routine. This means that I can finally take some time off at the weekend and hopefully start crafting again next Saturday or Sunday.

For the last Daring Cardmakers‘ challenge in September it was Kathy’s turn to pick the topic:

Here is a letter challenge for you

 'S' for September

Please use at least three things beginning with the letter 'S' on your card this week.

If you’re having a déjà-vu… you’re right! I used the same flowers on my first card in September 😊.

I like the card, but it looks more like spring than autumn to me.

DC Oh Baby!

Hello, crafters! As every Friday the Daring Cardmakers have a new challenge and lots of inspirational ideas for you.

Ruth wants to see BABY cards this week!

It could be a card for a newborn baby or for your „baby“

(no matter how old it is 😉).

This is an interlocking buckle gatefold card. I watched Jessica’s video tutorial about the technique. It was very easy to follow and I’m happy with my first try.

Here are some pictures which show you how the card is constructed.

You can use any nesting dies you have. In this case I used stitched rectangles.

DC September Inspirational Picture

Hello crafters! The Daring Cardmakers welcome you into a golden September.

Rizwana picked a beautiful picture and wants you to use three elements on your card:

I decided to use leaves, the autumnal colours and a „wood“ texture.

The beige/brown paper on top was embossed with a wood embossing folder.

The stamps are heat embossed in white and „coloured“ with distress oxide inks.
