DC Tropical Paradise

 Hello, crafters!

This Friday the DaringCardmakers bring you some tropical vibes!

Rizwana wants to see a TROPICAL PARADISE on your card.

Create a card with your favourite tropical animal or bird. You can use some vibrant colours or tropical plants.

I had to use my jungle animals and some vellum again. Because I liked the card, I copied it in a different colour … and one is already on it’s way to a friend.

I challenge myself to use what I have instead of buying every new thing that I see somewhere else or that I want to have. So I took out my Polychromos and had some fun with them. (Well, okay, I bought them maybe 2 years ago because I saw such cute colouring with them…)

Hallo, liebe Bastlerinnen! Trotz des durchwachsenen Wetters, oder vielleicht auch gerade deswegen, bringen die Daring Cardmakers euch in Dschungelstimmung.

Bastle eine Karte mit deinen liebsten tropischen Tieren oder tropischen Pflanzen und nutze knallige Dschungelfarben.

Das Thema kam mir gerade recht, da ich meine neuen Dschungeltierchen immer noch so toll finde. Mir hat auch meine Schüttelkarte gut gefallen, so dass ich sie einfach noch einmal nachgebastelt habe. Dieses Mal in einer anderen Farbe.

Da ich meine Polychromos viel zu lange nicht mehr benutzt habe, habe ich sie mal wieder aus der Kiste geholt und hatte viel Spaß beim Kolorieren.

Was fällt dir zum Thema Dschungel ein? Schau mal in deiner Bastelkiste nach, ob du etwas Passendes finden kannst. Wir sind gespannt auf deine Karte!

DC Proud as a peacock

Proud as a peacock!

Take inspiration from the beauty of the peacock for your card this week. It might be an image oft he bird itself, a beautiful „eye“ feather or simply the gorgeous iridescent colours of a peacock’s plumage applied to other images – think rich blues, greens, purples and even a little bronze. Extra brownie points if you can work in a „proud of you“ or „you did it!“ theme!

As I don’t own anything peacock related (and I even gave away my feather dies…), I took out my colours and painted a peacock feather on water colour paper. I added some shimmery metallic water colours.

I thougt that I don’t own a „proud of you“/“you did it“ stamp (in the meantime I found one), so I used my „You’re super“ sentiment.

Diese Woche hat Joanne die Herausforderung für die DaringCardmakers ausgewählt.

Sie möchte Pfauenfedern, Pfauen oder Pfauenfarben auf deiner Karte sehen.

Ich habe leider weder einen Pfauenstempel, noch Federmotive etc. Also habe ich meine Wasserfarben herausgeholt und eine Pfauenfeder gemalt. Am Ende habe ich mit den metallischen Wasserfarben noch ein paar Spritzer auf das Papier verteilt. Et voilá!

Der Gruß „Du bist super“ passt gut zum Stolz, der mit den Pfauen assoziiert wird. Mir gefällt’s! 😉
