Tadaaaaaa … here it is: the last challenge for the year 2015. Brought to you by the Daring Cardmakers.

Hello, Welcome to the last Daring Cardmakers challenge of 2015!

A huge thank you to those who joined in with Lythan's challenge to make a card using a language other than the one you generally use - how interesting was that then?

Now, before we head off for our annual Christmas and New Year break here's  a challenge which will last all the way till our next Daring Date: 8th January 2016. 

We thought this one offered the chance for last minute Christmas cards, but also New Year or Winter Birthday cards

So, feel free to think "outside the (gift) box" though gift boxes, wrapping paper, ribbons and bows are all fine of course....or maybe you'll choose to use mittens, gloves and scarves for wrapping up on a cold day?  How about a pair of big fluffy slippers?

I made this last minute Christmas card at the weekend. I used up an old “collection pad” with papers and embellishments (stickers, die cuts etc.).

Eine Freundin hat kurz vor Weihnachten Geburtstag. Da achte ich streng darauf, dass Karte und Verpackung nicht (zu) weihnachtlich werden.

I'd like you to make a card that features a language that isn't the one you normally use.
Despite the title, it doesn't have to be for Christmas - it can be for another occasion if you like.  

Well … I know … French isn’t that exotic. But it’s definitely a language that I don’t normally use.

I challenge myself to make another card with another language before Christmas =)

Verwendet auf eurer Karte eine Sprache, die ihr normalerweise nicht nutzt. 

Es muss gar keine Weihnachtskarte sein. Wie wäre es mit einem finnischen 

Gruß auf der nächsten Geburtstagskarte?!

DC Elemental Inspiration December

 

It’s already the first Friday of December … and I already had too many Christmas cookies and I’m already in a Christmassy mood.

So the picture that Dawn picked for the Daring Cardmakers this week was perfect for me.

It had to be a Christmas picture, after all it is December!!

Remember you need to use 3 elements from the picture. 

I used the following elements: a wreath, a “big” word and some gingham ribbon.

What will inspire you this week?! Give it a go and share your card with us.

Es ist schon der erste Freitag im Dezember … und ich hatte schon jetzt zu viele Plätzchen (und Glühwein? =) … nein). Auf jeden Fall bin ich schon jetzt in Weihnachtsstimmung und freue mich auf die kommenden Adventswochen.

Wie gut, dass Dawn für die Daring Cardmakers ein sehr weihnachtliches Bild ausgesucht hat.

Wie an jedem ersten Freitag im Monat ist es eure Aufgabe drei Elemente aus dem Bild auszusuchen und irgendwie auf eurer Karte unter zu bringen. Ich habe mich für den Kranz, das „große“ Wort und das karierte Band entschieden.
