DC whatever the weather

Hello, crafters! It’s not Friday today … but the summer holidays finally started and I was able to make some time for crafting 😊.

This week the Daring Cardmakers have a sponsored challenge. Julia from JMC Designs offers lovely prizes for  two lucky winners. So join our challenge this week!

The topic is
Whatever the Weather

Just make any weather-themed card this week, and link it below to be in with a chance of winning a prize.

I used one of Julia’s images, coloured it and added two die-cut clouds:

Thank you, Julia, for the cute digital stamp!

DC Have a prickly summer

Hello crafters and fans of the Daring Cardmakers!

This week it’s my turn to pick a topic for the Daring Cardmakers and I would love to see a cactus or several cacti on your card!

cactus/cacti

Cacti always remind me of summer, sunshine, deserts and holidays … and I just can’t wait for our summer holidays to begin and fort he sunshine and heat to come back again.

Luckily cacti are a huge trend at the moment and you can find them on many stamps and patterened papers.

I made this card my godmother’s birthday in August.

And you can also see that in my opinion cacti are perfect for male cards too:

I can’t wait to find out if they are as suitable for males as I think … or ist he heart too much?! (And I probably won’t use the one with the pink greeting for a man – it was supposed to be red, but my red ink pad was empty)

DC Wedding season

Hello, crafters! The wedding season is starting … and you might need some ideas?! So the Daring Cardmakers show you some great wedding cards on our blog.

Weddings

I’ll show you two cards I made. Both are quite similar and you can see what a difference the colours and papers/backgrounds make.

The first one is for my colleague. She loves bright lipstick and I used her favourite shade as an inspiration for the card. (She’s also running the garden club at school – so flowers are great too … she’s already married and loved her card).

The second card is for my husband’s cousin. I don’t really know him. So my clever trick is to „copy“ elements from the invitation.

Here I used the colour sheme and gold letters.

… and by now I’m probably on my way to the wedding up in the North … different little pre- and after-parties from Friday to Sunday 😉.

DC July Elemental Inspiration

Good morning!

Dawn picked the picture for this month’s elemental inspiration. The Daring Cardmakers dare you to craft a card on ewhich you use at least three elements from this picture.

I wasn’t in a berry mood, so I picked wood, glass and fruit for my card:

Happy crafting!
