Friday … *yay*. So here we go. There’s a new Daring Cardmakers challenge and this time it’s not about cards:

It's another  "Step Away From the Cards" challenge this week -

Our end of the year Crafting Party where we are mixing up our usual card challenges with some other crafting challenges

Make a Tag

Just make and decorate a tag or label for a gift -

 remember, it doesn't even have to be Christmas-themed.

You might have noticed that I’m crazy about gift tags anyway. But this time I made only gift tags without matching cards.

Gute Nachrichten: es ist Freitag ;-). Und hier kommt die neue Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers. Diese Woche geht es mal wieder nicht um Karten…

… sondern um Geschenkanhänger.

Vielleicht habt ihr schon bemerkt, dass ich gerade ein bisschen auf Geschenkanhänger abfahre und zu den meisten Karten auch ein Anhängerchen bastle (super Resteverwertung!). Für diese Woche habe ich allerdings drei Geschenkanhänger ohne dazu passende Karte gemacht.

DC Musical Christmas

It’s Friday in the middle of November. It’s cold outside and miserable weather … so the Daring Cardmakers try to spread some Christmas cheer.
Maybe you will even start humming a Christmas carol soon…

There are masses of them, and we all have our favourites, so it may be difficult to choose which to go with!  We're looking forward to seeing which you choose, and having a good old sing along with you.

This dare is easy if you have the SU stamp set which uses the names of popular Christmas carols as sentiments. Here you go.

Es ist Freitag, mitten im November. Draußen ist es kalt, grau und nass … und die Daring Cardmakers versuchen Weihnachtsstimmung zu verbreiten.
Vielleicht fangt ihr ja sogar an Weihnachtslieder zu summen.

Lasst euch von einem Weihnachtslied zu einer Karte inspirieren!

Sehr leicht hat man es, wenn man das SU Stempel Set „Kling, Glöckchen“ besitzt. Aber auch ohne gibt es jede Menge Möglichkeiten, Ideen und Inspirationsquellen.

DC gift box or bag

Hello crafters, welcome to a hopefully cozy and crafty weekend. It’s getting really cold here and I already had to scrape ice from my car windows earlier this week. So it’s starting to feel even more like Christmas (than last week) ;-).
For a slight change the Daring Cardmakers will surprise you with a few challenges that won’t require you to make a card. Here’s challenge No. 1”:

We thought we'd have a bit of a Crafting Party for the end of the year.  So for the next few weeks, we'll be mixing up our usual card challenges with some other crafting items, and we'd love to see what you make!

Gift Bag or Box

We'd just like you to make or decorate a box or gift bag - it doesn't even have to be Christmas-themed, then share your creations with us via the InLinkz gadget as usual. 

I love making boxes (but often I struggle to find a present in the right size). Here’s my little gift box.

I like the decoration of the lid … but I realized just now that I hated these “we wish you…”-sentiments as a single and vowed to boycott them forever. Well, that’s how inconsequent I am.

Hallo, Bastlerinnen. Uns erwartet hoffentlich ein gemütliches und kreatives Wochenende. Um euch ein bisschen Abwechslung zu bieten, haben wir Daring Cardmakers uns für die nächsten Wochen ein paar Ideen überlegt, die nichts mit Karten zu tun haben.

Diese Woche möchten wir eine selbst gebastelte (oder selbst dekorierte) Geschenktüte oder Geschenkschachtel sehen.
Ich liebe es kleine Schächtelchen zu basteln – nur fällt es mir immer so schwer ein Geschenk zu finden, das rein passt ;-). 

Die Dekoration des Deckels gefällt mir eigentlich ganz gut. Mir ist nur vorhin aufgefallen, wie sehr ich diese „Wir wünschen euch…“-Grüße als Single gehasst habe (und die allermeisten Stempel, die so beginnen, immer noch unbenutzt sind) und geschworen habe sie für immer zu boykottieren. Ja, so inkonsequent bin ich.

DC November Inspiration

 

It’s Friday again … and it’s November. So here’s the Daring Cardmakers' inspirational picture for you.

It's the first Friday of a new month, so time for a brand new Elemental Inspiration challenge, and for November we have this wonderful colourful photograph to inspire us

All you need to do is choose at least THREE elements from the photo and use them on your own creation 

Here are just a few suggestions to help get you thinking:

So far I was able to ignore the looming Christmas season. (I celebrated autumn instead.)

But since the Christmas card making weekend last week I’m finally hooked and the Christmas excitement and feeling is slowly building up…

Here’s my card and the matching gift tag.

Heute ist Freitag – und schon wieder November. Daher kommt heute auch das Inspirationsphoto der Daring Cardmakers.

Macht was draus … und vielleicht kommt dann die Weihnachtsstimmung automatisch. Zumindest mir ging das letztes Wochenende bei unserem Weihnachtskartenbastelwochenende so.

DC Sparkle and shine

Oops, it’s not Friday. I went on a crafty weekend and forgot to prepare the blog post. I stopped at my parents’ house for a little family time – and now I’m back at the desk and PC.

So here’s last week’s Daring Cardmakers' challenge.

So if you are in the same boat I am sure this dare will appeal, and if you have zero interest in making anything Christmas-related then you can also play along because I want to see you feature plenty of Sparkle and Shine on your cards this week.

You can use bling, everything glitter-related including paper/tape/embossing powder/ink/paint/paste, foiling, reflective accents, and even tinsel trim.

Just make sure your project sparkles and shines!

But not only a card. As I realized that I have far more cards than I will ever need I decided to send more cards (instead of only giving one to the persons who actually celebrate their birthday with me ;-)) and to create matching envelopes and tags to use up more scraps.

Let’s see how long I will keep this up …

Oh nein, ich bin von zwei kreativen Kurztrips zurück … und habe völlig vergessen den Post vorzubereiten und veröffentlichen zu lassen.

Nun ja – hier ist die nicht mehr ganz so aktuelle Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers.

Es geht darum viel bling bling unterzubringen: Strasssteinchen, Glitzerkleber, Pailletten etc.

Hier ist meine Karte … aber nicht nur eine Karte, sondern auch einen passenden Umschlag und ein Geschenkanhänger.

Da ich viel zu viele Karten in meiner kleinen Wohnung horte, habe ich zwei Dinge beschlossen:

1. Ich versende mehr (flache) Karten (in Standardgröße) per Post (anstatt auf die Gelegenheiten zu warten Karten persönlich zu übergeben)

2. Ich bastle gleich noch einen Geschenkanhänger und verziere einen Umschlag. So habe ich zwar mehr Bastelzeit, aber am Ende weniger Karten – und ich verbrauche die Papierreste, die vor mir (oder unter meinem Stuhl) liegen.

Mal sehen, wie lange ich durchhalte ;-)
