DC something old, something new

 

Hello crafters,

Today it’s my turn to set the Daring Cardmakers‘ challenge.

This week let’s combine

Something old and something new

Use something old and something new on your card. Or maybe old material and a new technique etc.

…and if you are in the mood you can add something borrowed and something blue too. Or just make a wedding card 😉.

I used some old favourites (still love the die cut butterflies) and tried a technique that I saw in the last SU catalogue:

Using lots of die cuts and letting the background paper peek through them. I liked the look but it’s even cooler as a shaker card, I think.

And here’s the same idea… this time as a wedding card.

Have fun mixing old and new things … and especially trying out your new techniques or crafting goodies.

 

 

DC round and round

Joanne from the Daring Cardmakers has a new challenge for you:

Round and round

She would like to see circular things on your cards – basic circle shapes or things that include circles (bicycle wheels, cogs, dream catchers, clock faces etc.)

I cut out a circle and decorated it with leaves and a butterfly. After taking most of the pictures I added the butterflies‘ bodies. It looks better that way. Next time I have to think of adding them right during my crafting session 😊.

I used purple paper, some flowers and an umbrella. I really love these fun fold cards. They are easy to make, you can showcase your beautiful papers and the recipients usually admire them 😉.
