DC decoration

Good morning, crafters! This is the Daring Cardmakers‘ very last challenge for this year.

We hope you had as much fun crafting as we did this year and will continue the hobby next year.

Today we challenge you to think outside (the card) box and create some kind of decoration.

To be honest … I didn’t make this decoration myself, but our wonderful secretary at school. She’s not only brilliant in her job, she also decorates our staff room (and ladies‘ toilet 😊) seasonally and she took her time to make these cute little Christmas favours for every single colleague. It was used as a table decoration and little welcome at our Christmas dinner a few weeks ago.

Isn’t it cute?! (And a perfect way to use up the scraps from your Christmas cardmaking!)

Guten Morgen, liebe Bastlerinnen! Pünktlich zum ersten Ferientag kommt hier die letzte Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers für dieses Jahr!

Zu guter Letzt möchten wir selbstgemachte Dekoration von euch sehen.

Ich muss gleich zugeben, dass ich dieses kleine Schokoladenschächtelchen nicht selbst gebastelt habe, sondern unsere grandiose Sekretärin. Sie macht nicht nur ihren Job sehr gut, sondern findet auch noch die Zeit das Lehrerzimmer (und die Damentoilette 😊) weihnachtlich zu dekorieren und für jeden Kollege so ein Schächtelchen zu basteln. Die Schächtelchen lagen bei unserer Weihnachtsfeier bei jedem Gast (circa 40 Stück!) auf dem Platz als kleiner Willkommensgruß und wunderbar festliche Deko.

Sehr niedlich – und eine wunderbare Möglichkeit Papierreste von der Weihnachtskartenproduktion zu verbasteln.

And one with a water colour background. I can’t decide which one is nicer … what do you think?!

Ich habe meine vorhandenen Farben gut genutzt und einen Kartenhintergrund mit meinen Stempelkissen und einen mit Wasserfarben gestaltet.

Gefällt mir beides ganz gut. Was meint ihr?!

DC December Elemental Inspiration

Hello, it’s the first Friday in December and here is the last Daring Cardmakers‘ elemental picture of 2018!

The picture is very christmassy, but you can use at least three elements to make cards for other occasions too.

I bought myself new colours for Christmas and vowed to use the colours I already own much more in the future … on cards, for hanflettering projects and other little art Projects.

This card was completely inspired by the great tutorial video by Maremi. She came up with a lovely Christmas card and I copied it with my cheapest water colours (which I love as well as my expensive ones).

The elements from our picture are a tree, blue-green colours and glitter.

Und hier ist der letzte Monat des Jahres und das letzte Inspirationsphoto der Daring Cardmakers für 2018!

Das Bild ist sehr weihnachtlich, aber aus mindestens drei Elementen kann man sicher auch Kärtchen für andere Gelegenheiten basteln.

Ich habe mir zu Weihnachten neue Farben gegönnt und mir fest vorgenommen alle meine wunderbaren Farben öfter zu verwenden … auf Karten, auf kleinen Handlettering Projekten und für kleine Kunstwerke.

Hier habe ich die wunderbare Idee von Maremi kopiert, die ich in einem Video entdeckt habe.

DC Bags and boxes

Oh no… the Christmas craziness started last week and accumulated in our school’s advent market. I used the weekend to relax and just completely forgot to post.

Gift Bags and Boxes 

We'd just love to join us by making and decorating a gift box or bag.  it doesn't have to be Christmas-themed, we give gifts for lots of reasons and they all deserve some gorgeous presentation, don't they?

But I made a gift box with a cute little fox. And there are still some weeks left to think about a present that will fit in the box.

Oh ha… die Vorweihnachtszeit hat begonnen. Letzte Woche hatten wir Projektttage und einen kleinen Adventsmarkt an der Schule. Ich war ziemlich gut beschäftigt und habe das Wochenende gebraucht, um mich zu erholen … und habe komplett vergessen einen Post zu schreiben.

Aber ich habe eine Geschenkbox gebastelt. Ich finde sie sehr süß.

Jetzt muss ich aber ernsthaft überlegen, womit ich die Box füllen könnte. Oft bleiben die Boxen nämlich unbenutzt hier liegen … Was füllt ihr denn rein?!
