Well… it’s not Friday. I wasn’t so well this week and some things just got lost in the everyday chaos. But at the moment I’m enjoying a very sunny spring weekend.

Here’s the Daring Cardmaker's challenge for this week.

Up in the Air

I'm asking you to make a sky- or flight-related card.

I made this card at the last craft weekend with my friends. One of my friends is slightly SU addicted and I love using her stamp sets.

Ähm… es ist nicht Freitag. Mir ging es diese Woche nicht so besonders gut, so dass einige Dinge irgendwie im Alltagstrubel verloren gingen. Dafür genieße ich im Moment ein herrliches Frühlingswochenende mit ganz viel Sonnenschein. 

Svenja von den Daring Cardmakers fordert euch diese Woche heraus eine Karte zum Thema „Hoch am Himmel“ zu basteln.

Meine Karte ist beim letzten Kartenbastelwochenende mit meinen Freundinnen entstanden. Dort gibt es immer so viele tolle Stempelsets, die ich mal ausprobieren darf ;-).

DC Green and a glimmer of gold

Hello. It’s Friday. Not just any Friday, but St. Patrick’s Day. So here is the Daring Cardmaker's challenge.

Well it had to be really didn't it. I'm sure we will not be the only challenge blog to feature green this week but when St Patrick's Day falls on a Friday what else can you do? So how about some cards featuring green and a dash of leprechaun's gold if you like!

Have a Guiness and get crafty! (might be a fun combination)

Here’s my green card with a glimmer of gold. I used my green ink pads and sticky notes to create the plaid pattern background and added some green paper scraps. To have a little glimmer glitter effect I embossed the main greeting.

Hallo. Es ist wieder Freitag. Aber nicht irgendein Freitag, sondern St. Patricks Day. Und hier kommt die Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers.

Um mit unseren irischen Freunden zu feiern, möchten wir jede Menge grün mit einem Schimmer gold auf euren Karten sehen.

DC Take the rough with the smooth

It’s Friday and here is the Daring Cardmakers’ dare.

It's Joanne here, hosting my very first dare and this week I'd like you to "take the rough with the smooth". It's a philosophy that can be very useful in life - for this challenge I'd like you to contrast something rough (or bumpy) with something smooth on your cards.

The rough element on my card is the twine and the bumpy embossed grey paper. And the smooth and shiny element are the blooms. Some of them are coated with glossy accents for some extra shine.

Es ist Freitag und hier kommt die Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers.

Joanne hat sich für das Sprichwort “take the rough with the smooth” entschieden. Das bedeutet ungefähr, dass man das Leben so nehmen sollte, wie es ist und das Beste daraus macht. Egal, ob ihr gerade gute Dinge erlebt oder im Moment etwas nicht so gut läuft.

Ich habe den holprigen Hintergrund mit dem rauen Band mit schönen, glänzenden und glatten Blüten kombiniert.
