DC My super hero

Happy Friday, everyone. Here iis the new Daring Cardmakers' challenge.

Did you know it's National Superhero Day over in the US today?

Well, I thought it was the perfect excuse to use it as inspiration for this week's challenge.

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to feature anything from well-known characters from the comic book and movie world on your card or make a card dedicated to your own hero or super person in your life.

Isn’t it great to see so many comic super heroes on our blog?! I just love how it looks like!

I’m very lucky to have some real heroes in my life. I’m not sure yet which hero might receive this card one day.

The super hero theme is great for a male card. I tried to limit myself to primary colours and stamped the sentiment on a speech bubble to enhance the comic look. The PP in the background shows some more comic elements and a super hero mask (Spiderman?).

Juhuuuu, willkommen zum Wochenendeendspurt  ;-). Hier  kommt die neue Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers. Vielleicht schafft ihr es ja euch am verlängerten Wochenende etwas Zeit zum Basteln zu nehmen?!

Falls ihr es noch nicht wusstet … heute ist der nationale Superhelden-Tag in den USA!

Wir würden uns freuen, wenn ihr mit uns Superhelden feiert. Egal, ob ihr bekannte Superhelden aus Comics, Filmen etc. verwendet oder eine Karte für euren persönlichen Superhelden bastelt, verlinkt euer Werk doch mit unserem Blog.

Dort gibt es jede Menge große und kleine Superhelden zu entdecken.

Glücklicherweise habe ich ein paar Superhelden in meinem Leben – und brauche ständig Geburtstagskarten für die Männer, die mich, die Welt oder auch nur meine IKEA Möbel retten ;-). 
Ich habe versucht nur Primärfarben zu verwenden und das comicartige Layout durch die Sprechblase zu verstärken. Auf dem Hintergrundpapier sind jede Menge Comic- und Superheldendetails zu sehen.

It’s time to admit that I just can’t stop buying new craft products … 

My friend is a SU demonstrator again and we had to take part in this year’s sale-a-bration. I love the stamp sets I picked and already used the sentiments a lot.

To “justify”* my purchase a bit more, I used my old SU stamp sets on my cards before I placed the order (you might have noticed in February and March?!).

*not that I have to. I’m happy that I have such a cool hobby that makes me happy.

And I decided to finally use my old catalogues as inspirations books. I cut out all the cards/ideas I would like to try one day and put them in an “inspiration box”. Let’s see how that’ll work out.

Es ist Zeit zuzugeben, dass ich es nicht schaffe keine Bastelsachen mehr zu kaufen …

Meine Freundin ist wieder bei SU eingestiegen und wir mussten bei der diesjährigen sale-a-bration teilnehmen. Ich mag meine neuen Stempelsets sehr gerne und habe die Grüße auch schon oft verwendet (öfter als die Motive).

Um meinen Einkauf ein bisschen mehr zu „rechtfertigen“, habe ich mich vor meiner Bestellung selbst dazu herausgefordert meine alten SU Sets zu verwenden (vielleicht ist euch das im Februar/März aufgefallen?!). 

Und ich habe mich entschlossen die alten Kataloge auch endlich als „Inspirationsbücher“ zu nutzen. Ich habe alle Karten/Ideen, die ich einmal umsetzen möchte, ausgeschnitten und in eine „Inspirationsbox“ gelegt. Mal sehen, was nun daraus wird.

DC Five patterned papers

It’s Friday and it’s my turn to set a challenge for the Daring Cardmakers.

This week I want to see lots of colours on your cards.

Use at least 5 different patterned papers

(maybe from your scrap box) and create a colourful card.

Even better if there are lots of “spring colours” (and it’s okay if your create your own patterned papers).

I tried to use only scraps from my overflowing scrap box and I’m happy with the results. I made a simple template from scrap printer paper and used it for my three cards.

Diese Woche bin ich dran eine Herausforderung für die Daring Cardmakers zu finden.

Ich möchte mindestens 5 verschiedene Musterpapiere auf euren Karten sehen!

Noch besser wäre es, wenn die Papiere aus eurer Restekiste stammen und/oder Frühlingsfarben sind. 

Los geht’s mit der Schnipseljagd!

Ich habe mir eine ganz einfache Vorlage auf Druckerpapiere gezeichnet und für meine Restekarten verwendet.

DC Spring Garden

 It’s Friday. Here is the new Daring Cardmaker's challenge.

It's Kathy here this week and well, I'm sorry if you're in the Southern Hemisphere and waving Summer "Goodbye" but we're full of the Joys of Spring here and we're staying on theme!

Spring Garden 

 It's Easter weekend and also time to celebrate the coming of Spring (fingers crossed). so this week I'd like to see Spring flowers take the starring 

role on your cards this week. 

 All the gorgeous Daffodils, Tulips, Irises, Hyacinths and twigs with blossom etc. that herald my favourite season.

The team have really pulled out all the stops this week, just look at our very own Spring Garden of Flowers.

I have to admit that this might not be a typical European spring flower … but it’s a flower and I coloured it in spring colours ;-).

Es ist Freitag und hier kommt die aktuelle Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers.

Kathy ist im Frühlings- und Osterfieber und möchte diese Woche jede Menge Frühlingsblumen sehen.

Meine Blümchen sind zugegebenermaßen ein bisschen internationaler und keine europäischen Frühlingsblumen … aber sie sind frühlingsfrisch koloriert
