DC: Setting the Scene

I’m very excited about this week’s dare at the Daring Cardmakers. We challenge you to create a scene on your card with the help of stamps, embellishments, dies etc.
And you CAN WIN A FANTASTIC PRIZE!!!

Firstly, the challenge - the theme is:
Setting the Scene

We'd like you to make your card your canvas for creating your own miniature world!  The theme is totally your choice and you can use whatever you like to create your scene - die cuts, stamps, embellishments - but please use various elements for the 'scene', don't just use one stamp!
Our challenge this week is sponsored by Xcut – the exciting die-cutting and tool range from Docrafts. The winner of the challenge can choose one of the 4 exciting new sets of Build-A-Scene Dies each worth £19.95. Each set features a collection of dies that work together to let you build up layered designs to create a beautiful or fun scene! Choose from Vintage Hot Air Balloon, Nautical, Garden Party or London.

If you mention the Daring Cardmakers in your blog post and link back to the Docrafts website, you can win a set of fabulous Build-a-Scene dies.

Here you see my cards that were made with the “garden party” Build-a-Scene set.
Have a look at the other great sets that my fellow design team members used too!

DC: Embossability

Keilly picked the challenge for the Daring Cardmakers this week:

It's Keilly here with this week's challenge...

'Embossability'

I'd like you to make a card / project and use embossing of some kind, either wet or dry embossing, let's see some texture!

My card with the dry embossed background (dots) and the heat embossed snow flakes sums up the weather we have at the moment. It’s very cold and snowy… winter is finally here =).

DC: The frill of it all

Leo picked this week’s dare for the Daring Cardmakers challenge and asks us all to create cards with some kind of frill.
The 'Frill' Of It All
I created  frill out of a long strip of soft tissue/tissue paper.
Do you have a frilly idea for a card?!

"neutral" colours and girly frill - a good combination!

too bulky to send in an envelope ...
