The time of your life

The Queen celebrates her 96th birthday this week. Let’s celebrate the oldies with our cards and projects.

My grandmas are 80 and 92 and both enjoy spending time in their garden a lot! And they appreciate flowers and making things grow and harvesting their own products. So when I think of older people, I mostly tend to make floral cards for them (which my grandmas would love).

Die Queen wird diese Woche 96 und Enfys möchte deine Karte(n) sehen, die du für die älteren Personen in deinem Leben bastelst. Auch wenn sie vermutlich jünger als die Queen sind…

Meine Omas sind 80 und 92 Jahre alt und beide lieben ihren Garten und verbringen im Frühling und Sommer eine Menge Zeit darin. Sie lieben Blumen, sich um Pflanzen zu kümmern und die Früchte ihrer Arbeit zu ernten (Tomaten, Zucchini, Beeren etc.).

Wenn ich Karten für ältere Damen mache, werden es dank meiner Omas meist florale Karten.

DC Chocolate

Hello crafters!

The Daring Cardmakers have a new yummy challenge for you.

Kathy wants to see CHOCOLATE on your cards.

Indulge yourself in chocolatey treats; chocolate cakes, chocolate

 colours, chocolate bars, drinking chocolate, a box of chocolates.....

This challenge made me realize that I don’t really have a particular chocolate stamp or die or paper…

But I found a printed image in  my paper collections. I think this could be a hot chocolate…

Wie jeden Freitag, haben sich die Daring Cardmakers wieder eine Herausforderung ausgedacht.

Kathy möchte diese Woche, passend zu den vielen Osterleckereien, SCHOKOLADE auf deiner Karte sehen.

Egal, ob Schokokuchen, Pralinen, eine Tafel, Schokoladenfarben etc.

Ich habe gemerkt, dass ich gar nichts Schokoladiges in meiner Stempelsammlung habe (zum Glück war ich inzwischen auf der STempelmessse Süd). Glücklicherweise war in einem Action-Papierblock ein Motiv, das man als heiße Schokolade durchgehen lassen kann, oder?

Zeig uns doch, was du für schokoladige Bastelschätzchen zu Hause hast!? Und was du damit gemacht hast!

 

DC A little bird

To celebrate the change of seasons and enjoying the morning bird song, please add a bird or birds to your card this week. From feathers, small garden birds or a beautiful flamingo … I can’t wait to see your birds.

I recently went „Action“-shopping 😉 with a colleague/friend. (She bought a bigshot after crafting with me. So i felt obliged to help her picking her first die cutting sets)

This birdhouse was perfect fort he current challenge and I think it makes a great „new home“-card:

Vögel

Um den Jahreszeitenwechsel und das morgendliche Vogelgezwitscher zu feiern, sollst du ein Vögelchen oder zumindest Federn auf deine Karte packen. Egal ob Huhn oder Flamingo 😉!

Ich war mit einer Kollegin* beim Action einkaufen und habe mich sehr über die Gelegenheit gefreut mein neues Stanzset auszuprobieren.

*Nachdem sie zum Basteln bei mir war, hat sie sich eine Bigshot gekauft. Natürlich musste ich ihr als gute Freundin und Kollegin dann dabei helfen ihre ersten Stanzen zu erwerben…

Das Vogelhaus macht sich gut zum Einzug, finde ich. Was denkst du?

 

DC April Elemental Inspiration

Here’s my topic for the Daring Cardmakers.

What Ilike a lot about spring is the fact that it’s no longer dark when I get up and that I can enjoy the first morning sunshine on my way to work. (At least till Sunday when the clock is set one hour ahead to Daylight Saving Time 😉).

So the topic for this week is:

The early bird catches the worm.

Use one your card whatever comes to your mind, when you hear this saying: birds of any kind, sun rays/set or a worm?!?

My friend got rid of some stamp sets and I challenged myself to use the stamps at least once before I pass them along…

Diese Woche geht es um das Sprichwort:

Ich bin kein Frühaufsteher, aber mein Job zwingt mich dazu … und ich liebe es in der Dämmerung aufzuwachen und auf dem Weg zum Job die ersten Morgensonnenstrahlen zu genießen.

Verwende auf deiner Karte etwas, das zu diesem Sprichwort passt. Einen Vogel, einen Sonnenaufgang, einen Wurm… oder auch etwas im übertragenen Sinn?!

Hello spring!

It’s almost the first official day of spring in the UK and what better way to celebrate that with a challenge! I’d love to see anything related tot he seasons. Be it lambs, rabbits, daffodils, tulips etc.

In these days the arrival of spring reminds me that change is possible and you can’t stop it! I hope that things in Europe will get better and we will have calmer and more peaceful times ahead!

I ordered a great stamp set for Christmas and was too busy to use it before the holidays. So I took the deer and put it on a spring card:

Die Daring Cardmakers haben eine neue Herausforderung für euch:

FRÜHLING!

Bastle eine Karte, die den Frühling feiert: Blumen, Grüntöne, Sonnenstrahlen, Osterlämmer… was auch immer dir einfällt bzw. was du zur Hand hast.

Ich habe vor Weihnachten das schöne Stempelset „Weihnachten im Wald“ gekauft und war dann viel zu beschäftigt, um es zu nutzen. Jetzt durfte das Reh an die frische Luft und auf meine Frühlingskarte hüpfen. Passt auch gut, finde ich.

Auf dem Weg zur Arbeit habe ich jetzt auch schon zwei Mal ein Häschen über die Straße hoppeln sehen … es wird definitiv Frühling! Und so wie man die Veränderung der Natur nicht aufhalten kann, hoffe ich auch, dass sich die Dinge in Europa wieder und weiter verändern und wir alle friedlichere und ruhigere Tage vor uns liegen haben…

We want to show support for the Ukrainian people by filling our blog with the blue and yellow colours of the country's flag and masses of sunflowers; the national flower of Ukraine
The power of the internet means our crafting and working community often encompasses people from all over the world and most of us will know at least one fellow crafter who is living through such terror and heartache.  

Suddenly it's our friends and our colleagues - not strangers who are suffering.
