The Daring Cardmakers have a new challenge for you.

Nat set the challenge for this week:

Say it loud!

Make your sentiment the real focus of your card by making it the main element of your design. It can be oversized, it can be created with negative die-cutting, it can be a mix of font styles (stamped/die cut). Whatever you choose, the sentiment shouldn’t be overshadowed by other elements in your design.

I used the really big sentiments from my unicorn stamp set. It was fun to use so many big sentiments on one card.

Die Daring Cardmakers haben eine neue Herausforderung für euch. Nat möchte einen richtig großen Spruch auf eurer Karte sehen, der der Blickfang auf der Karte sein sollte.

Ich habe die Herausforderung genutzt, um die großen Sprüche aus meinen Einhornset zu verwenden. Es hat richtig Spaß gemacht so viele große Sprüche auf einer Karte unterzubringen.

Und … im Endeffekt habe ich alle Stempel des Sets benutzt und kann es für meine Challenge abhaken 😊!

I still love the little bunny and the trampoline set that I bought last year during the first lockdown. It’s perfect for spring and the Easter time.

It’s also a great set to create pull tab cards to make the animals jump…

FRÜHLINGSKARTEN

Ich liebe das Häschen und das Trampolinset, das ich letztes Jahr im ersten Lockdown gekauft habe, immer noch sehr.

Und ich finde es bietet sich super an, um Technikkarten zu fabrizieren. Hier sorgt die Ziehlasche dafür, dass das Häschen so richtig hoch hüpfen kann.

Today is Plant a Flower Day, so to honour the day, make a card showing us your favourite flower or flowers!

I used the nice flower, twigs and leaves dies and put them on two different cards.

I used a butterfly, musical notes, pink and turquoise-blue and a vintage effect (distressed corners).

Nat hat dieses wunderschöne Bild ausgesucht.

Wählt drei Dinge davon aus, die ihr auf eurer Karte verwendet.

Ich habe einen Schmetterling und Musiknoten auf meine Karte gepackt, mich an das pink und türkis-blaue Farbschema gehalten und versucht meine Karte ein bisschen „vintage“ aussehen zu lassen.

Märchen

Gestaltet eine Karte mit Märchenmotiven, die zum heutigen Märchentag passt. Es kann ein magisches Märchenwesen oder ein Gegenstand aus einem Märchen zu sehen sein.

Auf meiner Karte ist der gute, kleine Ritter und im Inneren der Karte befindet sich der entspannte Drache, gegen den er kämpfen möchte.

Habt ein schönes und sonniges Wochenende! Entspannt euch! Lest ein Märchen und/oder bastelt ein Kärtchen!

Kiss Kiss!

Joanne here with more love on the agenda this week as it’s Kissing Friday! Did you know that on the Friday of Shrove Week, English schoolboys were once entitled to kiss the girls without being punished or rejected? You can see a bit more about the tradition here.  

I used the kissing technique with my rubber stamps. You can find an easy tutorial about stamp kissing here.

Diese Woche gibt es natürlich auch wieder eine Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers.

Joanne hat sich für das Thema Kuss entschieden.

Du kannst auf deinen Karten Motive verwenden, die einen Kuss zeigen oder einen Kuss-Emoji oder hübsche Lippen, die man küssen möchte oder oder…

Ich habe mich für die Kusstechnik entschieden, bei der sich zwei verschiedene Stempel „küssen“. In meinem Fall die Blümchen und Schrift. Eine Videoanleitung für diese Technik findest du zum Beispiel hier.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner Dawn wants you to spread some LOVE.

Its doesn't have to be just for valentines. Think of an occasion when someone needs a little love, a hug or even just a card to show you care. Things are hard at the moment so sending a card just because you care is so needed and will be appreciated.

SHARE THE LOVE

I made a birthday card. And as you can’t celebrate birthdays and have friends over (or do something fun out of your house) at the moment, I think everyone needs a bit more love than usual on this occasion 😉.

I made a shaker card with a see-through shaker window. The idea is from Jennifer McGuire and you can watch here great tutorial here.

To spread more love I decorated the matching envelope and the inside of the card … and I added some hearts as well.

Huhu, Bastlerinnen! Hier kommt die neue Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers.

Inspiriert vom Valentinstag möchte Dawn ganz viel LIEBE auf deiner Karte sehen. Es muss aber nicht zwangsläufig eine Valentinstagskarte sein. Du kannst eine Karte an jemanden schicken, der gerade eine kleine Aufmunterung, eine Umarmung aus der Ferne oder ein kleines Lebenszeichen von dir braucht.

Versende LIEBE!

Ich habe eine Geburtstagskarte für eine liebe Freundin gemacht, die ihren Geburtstag wohl auch dieses Jahr nicht mit Freunden und Familie feiern kann… Für eine Extraportion Liebe habe ich ein paar Herzchen untergebracht 😉.

Die Karte hat ein durchsichtiges Schüttelfenster. Diese Idee habe ich in diesem Anleitungsvideo von Jennifer McGuire gesehen und gleich mal ausprobiert. Es klappt super und ich wurde ein wenig Verpackungsmüll los (etwas festere Plastikfolie von einer Verpackung und ein Stückchen Kartonage).
