Its Dawn here with this weeks challenge and I have decided to call it.

4 Of Something

I celebrate the big 40 yesterday and today is our wedding anniversary so this weeks challenge is to put 4 of something on your card.

Lets forgot the zero as I intend on staying 39 for every birthday from now on.

So you could include 4 designer papers, 4 embellishments or the number 4.

I thought it’s time to use one of my favourite Christmas stamps again. There are four Christmas trees. Hooray.

Hallo, Bastlerinnen. Hurra, es ist Freitag und hier kommt die neue Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers.

Dawn wird 40 … und wünscht sich, dass wir alle mitfeiern. Es dreht sich alles um die 4. Verwendet vier verschiedene Papiere oder vier Blumen oder andere Motive auf eurer Karte. Oder bastelt vier Mal die gleiche Karte?!

Ich fand es war höchste Zeit mal wieder meinen Lieblingsweihnachtsstempel zu verwenden. Zum Glück sind darauf vier Weihnachtsbäume zu sehen. Hurra!

DC literacy

Today is International Literacy Day according to UNESCO. I've always been a reader and can't imagine life without a book on the go.  So, let's celebrate the joy of the written word - your card could feature images of books, a favourite literary character or quotation, a portrait of an author, you could acknowledge a special teacher... where will your imagination take you?

I’m very happy that I’m able to read and write (and I love reading and writing). And I hope that I can pass on my excitement about it to my pupils.

Here is a card/bookmark set for my teacher friend to wish her a great start into the new school year.

Lese- und Schreibfähigkeit

Heute ist der internationale Lese- und Schreibfähigkeitstag (was für ein Wort) der UNESCO. Feiert diese Gelegenheit mit uns. Verwendet Schrift, Bücher, Zitate, Schreibgeräte etc. auf euren Karten und zeigt uns eure Werke!!!

 

 

Ich liebe lesen und schreiben und hoffe, dass ich zumindest ein bisschen Leidenschaft dafür an meine Schüler weiter geben kann.

Die Karte und das Lesezeichen ist für meine Lehrerfreundin, um ihr einen guten Start ins neue Schuljahr zu wünschen.

Here is my try. I was inspired by the door/aperture, something to eat (macarons) and (some of) the colours. (Yes, I'm slightly obsessed with shaker cards at the moment ...)

Our challenge is all about

Fast Food and Coffee To Go!
 

We're heading to the Take Away or the Fast Food Outlet for this one.

 Burgers, fish and chips, pizza, noodles and stir fries, maybe Fajitas or a sneaky takeaway curry.  And don't forget those takeaway coffees, teas, colas etc

Coming back from our holidays the last week was quite busy … so I cheated a little bit with my card (because it was super quick to use my cute monster stamp).

The monster clearly had no coffee to go but is still at home … barely awake … wearing slippers.

Fast Food und Geh-Kaffee (gibt’s das Wort noch?)

Da wir erst aus dem Urlaub zurück gekommen sind, war diese Woche etwas durcheinander. Ich hatte wenig Zeit zum Basteln – und habe ein bisschen geschummelt. Ich habe meinen supergoldigen Monsterstempel verwendet. Das Monster liebt seinen Kaffee, aber es ist offensichtlich noch zu Hause … kaum wach und in Hausschuhen.
