DC black, white and x

 Hello, crafty friends! The Daring Cardmakers have a new challenge for you.

And this week it was my turn to come up with a challenge:

Use black, white and one other colour on your cards!

It can be any colour and you can use it only a little or a lot or even different shades of it. Just as you like.

Originally I thought of an elegant card in white and black with a bright contrasting colour … but I ended up with a card in black, white and brown!

I started out with the cute bear paper in black and white and the sentiment „sending a hug“. And then I coloured the friendliest bear brown.

After that I  added some more accents in black, white and brown (like the heart and the frame etc.).

Diese Woche bin ich an der Reihe, um mir eine Herausforderung für die Daring Cardmakers zu überlegen.

Ich habe mich für folgendes Thema entschieden:

schwarz, weiß und eine andere Farbe!

Eigentlich wollte ich ursprünglich eine elegante Karte in schwarz und weiß basteln und eine Knallerfarbe dazu kombinieren… aber irgendwie bin ich dann an dem süßen Bärchenpapier hängengeblieben.

Und nachdem ich den freundlichsten Bären angemalt hatte, war meine Farbkombination schwarz, weiß und braun.

Hear it for the bees!

I would like to celebrate bees this week. So I would love to see anything related to them on your cards. You could use beehives, honeycomb shapes, honey coloured ink etc. – extra points for using a combination of elements!

I used a bee stamp and honeycombs in the background. The stamp originally said „bee mine“, but I changed it and added the „happy“.

Verwende auf deiner Karte Bienen, Bienenhäuser, Waben, Honig, honigfarbene Stempelfarbe usw.

Ich habe einen Bienenstempel verwendet und Waben im Hintergrund. Der Spruch hieß ursprünglich „Bee mine“, was ich aber sehr unpraktisch finde. Ich habe das „happy“ ergänzt und jetzt kann ich die Karte an viele liebe Menschen verschicken.

DC April Elemental challenge

 

Hello, crafters! It’s already April … and the Daring Cardmakers have a new challenge for you.

On every first Friday each month we pick a picture to inspire you to create a card. This time Jenny got creative and came up with this:

Pick three elements and use them on your card.

I used an elephant, paper with „script“ on it and a red flower.

I couldn’t resist buying this cute stamp and die cut set recently and just had to use it 😊. You’ll probably see the other wild animals here quite soon…

Hallo, liebe Bastlerinnen! Der April ist da und die DaringCardmakers haben eine neue Herausforderung für dich.

Wie jeden ersten Freitag im Monat, gibt es heute ein inspierendes Bild. Jenny hat die Collage zusammengestellt und fordert dich heraus mindestens 3 Dinge auf deiner Karte zu verwenden.

Ich habe mich für den Elefant, eine rote Blume und einen Hintergrund mit „Schrift“ entschieden. Die goldigen Dschungeltiere (Stempel und Stanzen) sind erst kürzlich bei mir eingezogen und ihr werdet den Rest der Bande bestimmt demnächst hier entdecken.

The Daring Cardmakers have a new challenge for you.

Nat set the challenge for this week:

Say it loud!

Make your sentiment the real focus of your card by making it the main element of your design. It can be oversized, it can be created with negative die-cutting, it can be a mix of font styles (stamped/die cut). Whatever you choose, the sentiment shouldn’t be overshadowed by other elements in your design.

I used the really big sentiments from my unicorn stamp set. It was fun to use so many big sentiments on one card.

Die Daring Cardmakers haben eine neue Herausforderung für euch. Nat möchte einen richtig großen Spruch auf eurer Karte sehen, der der Blickfang auf der Karte sein sollte.

Ich habe die Herausforderung genutzt, um die großen Sprüche aus meinen Einhornset zu verwenden. Es hat richtig Spaß gemacht so viele große Sprüche auf einer Karte unterzubringen.

Und … im Endeffekt habe ich alle Stempel des Sets benutzt und kann es für meine Challenge abhaken 😊!

baby animals, daffodils and tulips, seasonal celebrations -blossom, warmer temperatures (or cooler if you're 'down under') or other Spring weather!
Or think a little out of the box and feature things with springs like a jack in the box, or make a card with a hidden spring mechanism

Have fun, and don't forget to come and share your creations with us.

I still love the little bunny and the trampoline set that I bought last year during the first lockdown. It’s perfect for spring and the Easter time.

It’s also a great set to create pull tab cards to make the animals jump…

FRÜHLINGSKARTEN

von euch sehen.

Ich liebe das Häschen und das Trampolinset, das ich letztes Jahr im ersten Lockdown gekauft habe, immer noch sehr.

Und ich finde es bietet sich super an, um Technikkarten zu fabrizieren. Hier sorgt die Ziehlasche dafür, dass das Häschen so richtig hoch hüpfen kann.

Today is Plant a Flower Day, so to honour the day, make a card showing us your favourite flower or flowers!

I used the nice flower, twigs and leaves dies and put them on two different cards.

I used a butterfly, musical notes, pink and turquoise-blue and a vintage effect (distressed corners).

Hallo, Bastlerinnen! Es ist der erste Freitag im März und die Daring Cardmakers haben eine neue Herausforderung für euch.

Nat hat dieses wunderschöne Bild ausgesucht.

Wählt drei Dinge davon aus, die ihr auf eurer Karte verwendet.

Ich habe einen Schmetterling und Musiknoten auf meine Karte gepackt, mich an das pink und türkis-blaue Farbschema gehalten und versucht meine Karte ein bisschen „vintage“ aussehen zu lassen.
