DC Let's go 3D

Hello, crafters! Summer is finally here … and the Daring Cardmakers‘ new challenge as well.

I was thinking of more ways to use my latest stamp set 

… and decided to make a card in box. 

The jumping animals are great for this kind of project, I think 😊.

Hi, glamorous crafters! Here’s the Daring Cardmakers‘ new challenge.

makes you feel like a movie star!

For this week’s challenge I made another swing card. And the glamorous elements are pearls and the pink/red of my favourite lip stick:

I also decorated the inside a little bit with another flower.

To be honest, I had to think a little bit to find things that make me feel glamorous … and I guess it’s not that special: my pearl earrings (which I wear most of the time) and my most glamorous lip stick (which nearly made me faint at the pay desk).

 

DC Wing it!

Hello, crafters! Sorry … I’m a bit late this week.

But here is the current Daring Cardmakers‘ challenge:

Wing It!

Please use anything with wings on your cards this week - insects, birds, fairies or even planes!

I wanted to try my new honeycomb embossing folder and added a bee stamp. I also have a new „happy“ stamp and wrote the „bee“ myself 😉.

To decorate the inside I stamped another sentiment and added some yellow to match it perfectly with the card front.

 I’m not sure if you can see the crystal glaze on the wings here, but it looks nice in reality and I love the haptic effect as well.

Shopping Saturday

Nach über einem Jahr bin ich mal wieder beim „Action“ gelandet. Da musste ich einfach zuschlagen.

Ein paar der Produkte konnte ich bereits testen – und bin sehr glücklich und zufrieden damit.

Sie werden in den nächsten Wochen ganz gewiss hier auf meinem kleinen Blog auftauchen 😊.

… und das war’s dann auch mal mit neuen Bastelsachen. Ich habe definitiv genug davon zu Hause – und leider auch nicht mehr Zeit als zuvor.

After more than a year  I went shopping at „Action“ again. And I had to fill my shopping cart with all these great products.

I already tested some of my new purchases and I’m really happy with them. You will most likely see most of them in my blog posts during the next few weeks.

… and this was probably the last craft shopping tour in 2020. I really have enough products now – and not more time than usual…

DC June Elemental inspiration

Hello crafters, friends and crafty friends! At the start of June the Daring Cardmakers have an inspirational picture for you.

Kathy picked this beautiful picture which makes me want to spend the whole day in my parent’s garden (or on our balcony here 😉):

Choose at least three things from the picture and use them on your cards.

I picked the drink with straws, a floral pattern and white letters on a blue background.

Ich hatte mal wieder Zeit und Lust den aktuellen Sketch von Create a smile umzusetzen. 

Die Beispielkarten und auch die anderen Einsendungen sind wieder so wunderschön inspirierend.

Endlich hatte ich mal die perfekte Gelegenheit eines der goldigen Freebies zu verwenden.

Sobald man sich wieder etwas entspannter zum Kaffetrinken treffen kann, geht das Kärtchen raus 😉.

DC BIG celebrations

Hello crafters!

Today it’s my turn to set the challenge for the DaringCardmakers.

I want you to make cards for the

BIG celebrations

that you usually enjoy only once in your lifetime: a wedding, a special birthday (18th, 30th etc.), a holy communion, finally reaching retirement, passing an exam/driving test etc.

I know that many of these great celebrations have or had to be cancelled this year or celebrated quite differently from the original plan. But maybe in this case it’s even more important to send a card and tell someone that you’re thinking of them … from far away.

Actually … I picked the topic because my brother’s wedding was sheduled for tomorrow and I thought that we would all be very excited today and busy with the last preparations.

But now the wedding is cancelled due to the virus.

At least they had their civil ceremony and we siblings gave them the card and our BIG present anyway 😉!
