Hello, I’m back. I moved houses and got my internet access and telephone line half an hour ago =).

The Daring Cardmakers have a new challenge for you … and our fantastic sponsor Ruby Rock-It is back too.

This time we used the fantastic products they sent to create birthday cards. Come and join the fun.

Birthday Rock

The dare is to make a birthday card which is ROCK themed, this could be music or lots of bling to represent precious rocks.  I would also like to see the colour RUBY somewhere too.

We also offer a great prize for one lucky crafter who adds a link to her/his card! We’re waiting for your creations and keeping our fingers crossed for you!!!

Ich bin zurück. Gerade eben habe ich den Techniker verabschiedet, der in meiner neuen Wohnung das Wlan und Telefon eingerichtet hat.

Dieses Mal haben wir aus den fantastischen Produkten Geburtstagskarten gebastelt. Macht doch auch mit.

DC Elemental Inspiration July

It’s the first Friday in July and Jo picked a beautiful picture for the Daring Cardmaker's challenge.

I chose the picture as it's light and summery - perfect for the fantastic weather we've been having;

This week as with every first week of a new month we would like you to pick out a minimum of three elements from the picture to design your card with.

I was inspired by the black handwriting, the pink flowers and the golden accents.

Es ist der erste Freitag im Juli und Jo hat für die Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers ein wunderschönes Bild heraus gesucht. 

Lasst euch von drei Dingen inspirieren, die ihr auf dem Bild entdeckt. Ich habe auf meiner Karte schwarze Handschrift, rosa Blüten und goldene Akzente untergebracht.

DC Yes, it's supposed to be blurry ...

This week it was my turn to pick a topic for the Daring Cardmakers.

A few weeks ago Istumbled across the bokeh technique and I think it makes perfect hand made backgrounds or focal points on cards.

After watching a few tutorials I gave it a try and found out that the bokeh technique is much easier as it looks like and the results are great … even at the first try. And all you need is a white inkpad or white acrylic paint or bleach (or even a light coloured ink pad such as a very light blue).

I dare you to use the bokeh technique on your cards!

Be inspired by the creative ways the Design Team members came up with or watch some online tutorials.

We would love to inspire you to try out something new and see your blurry creations!

Diese Woche war ich an der Reihe ein Thema für die Daring Cardmakers auszusuchen. 

Vor ein paar Wochen bin ich über die Bokeh Technik gestolpert und habe es einfach mal ausprobiert … und hatte gleich viel Spaß und, in meinen Augen, tolle Ergebnisse damit.
