summer holidays blogging break

I'll be on holidays till September. I'm visiting my friend at the end of world and bringing her some of the best things our country has to offer.

Have a great summer and be creative!

Habt einen wunderschönen Sommer und bleibt kreativ!

DC August colours

It’s finally August and I had a great start into my long summer holidays. Svenja picked a beautiful palette for the Daring Cardmaker's colour challenge.

And here’s my card.

Dawn is reinforcing our team as a guest designer over the summer. Have a look at her lovely blog, admire her cards and leave a comment. I’m sure she would be really happy about that.

DC Creating - Kathy Style

This week at the Daring Cardmaker's we want to celebrate and honour our blog fairy Kathy.

There is also the opportunity to get yourself lost in the crafty wonder that is Kathy Black's blog - Kathy's Waffle. Kathy is a real card artist but as you will know if you have looked at her blog, she is also generous in passing on tips and techniques and the odd cutting file as well. She also helpfully creates monthly sketches at the Sketch File  which are always worth a look. Kathy  has been part of Daring Cardmakers from the beginning and produces stylish cards that always have that certain something - so

choose one of her cards, examine the style and be inspired.

I like Kathy’s twenchies that she made in 2009 and was inspired to create a baby card.

DC out on the water

Nat picked a great topic for the current challenge of the Daring Cardmakers.

Out on the water

Your challenge this week is to make a card that celebrates any aspect of how we humans enjoy the water on our planet.

After another hot weekend and a football-crazy week I would love to be at a beach right now … no matter if there’s sand or pebbles!

DC We are going on a summer holiday

Svenja takes us to beautiful places today for the weekly Daring Cardmakers challenge:

It’s Svenja here and I’m asking you to look a little further this week as my challenge for you today is (come, sing with me):

We are going on a summer holiday

It’s easy: Make a travel themed card, dream of faraway places, relax and enjoy!

My big holidays at the end of the world are just around the corner. And I can’t wait to leave all the crazy hustle and bustle here behind for a few weeks.

And look what my new photo camera can do ...

I changed the twine ... can't decide which one looks better

DC July colours

Beckie picked a beautiful colour palette for the monthly colour challenge of the Daring Cardmakers.

Here’s the palette.

And here’s my card.
