DC: May Colour Challenge

It was my turn this week to pick a suitable colour palette for the Daring Cardmakers.
I picked these colours:

It’s called “mental vacations”. Isn’t that a lovely word?!

I hope you’ll be inspired by the colours and have a mental vacation while creating a card for our dare.

DC It's elementary

This week Nat picked a beautiful photo inspiration for the Daring Cardmakers challenge.

This week, as the title suggests, I'm challenging you to pick 3 elements from the image below and feature them on your card:

Can you guess what I picked ?!

(washi tape, pearls, ribbon, roses)

Happy crafting!

DC Another dimension

Kathy picked an interesting topic for the Daring Cardmaker's challenge:

Another Dimension
This week I just don't want to see any flat, regular sort of cards - instead I'd like to see lots of interesting folds and shapes; Stepper cards, Card in a Box, Pyramids, Flip-it type cards..... Anything goes as long as the finished, standing-up card is more 3D than 2D.

I’m in love with the sizzix dies to make flip-it cards. And here’s what I came up with:

Das sind die genialen Stanzformen/These are the fabulous dies:

oops, I went shopping .... ups, ich war einkaufen

 http://www.stempelmesse-sued.de/wp-content/themes/stempelmesse/images/logo-stempelmesse.png

It’s time for a confession. I failed my new year’s resolution. I went to a stamp fair with two lovely (and crafty) friends and I had to buy some great new things. And once I started, I couldn’t stop shopping…

Well, to my defense I have to say that I already used up loads of old stash in the last four months and answer the question “Do I really need that?” more often with a definite “No!”.

It looks great and you can do cool things with it, but I don’t need an envelope punch board. I have a beautiful sky blue  score pal.

Colouring with Copic markers is fun, but I have lovely water colours and other colour mediums at home.

There are lovely sentiment stamps out there, but I want to be brave and use handwritten sentiments more often.

I bought paper,

stamps

and quite a few dies for my big shot.
