Eigentlich habe ich auch letzte Woche eine Karte für die Daring Cardmakers Herausforderung gemacht: What's the point? ... war aber mit dem Veröffentlichen leider etwas spät dran. Da ist sie:

Actually I also took part in last week's Daring Cardmaker's challenge: What's the point?. I was just a little late to post the card on my blog. Here it is:

Die Farbkombi und das Papier hat mir dann so gut gefallen, dass es gleich für die nächste Karte herhalten musste.

I liked the colour combination and the papers so much that I had to use them on the next card as well.

So, im neuen Jahr (das auch schon wieder einen Monat alt ist) komme ich hoffentlich regelmäßiger zum Basteln und Bloggen =)

Auf der Daring Cardmakers Seite ist das Bastelmotto dieser Woche: School days. Da musste ich erst einmal überlegen, was ich dazu basteln soll. Eine echte Herausforderung! - und dann ist mir eingefallen, dass mein Bruder demnächste seine Schulabschlussprüfungen hat. Hier ist eine kleine Karte für ihn.
Der Gruß steht übrigens auf einer "Schiefertafel", an der Schwamm und Lappen hängen. Erkennt man das ?


This week at the Daring Cardmakers page all crafters are challenged to create cards which fit the topic: school days.
This was a real challenge for me at first =) ... until I remembered that my brother will graduate fom Highschool in a few months. So I already made him a little "good luck with your exams"-card.
The sentiment is supposed to be chalk on a slate with a sponge and cloth. I'm not sure if it's really recognizable ...

Diese Woche geht es bei Daring Cardmakers darum den Rand einer Karte zu gestalten. Hier ist mein Versuch =)

Den Alienstempel hatte ich schon viel zu lange in meiner Schublade!

This week the Daring Cardmakers team wants us to make a card with a nice border. Here's my try =)

On The Edge
We'd love to see you making use of all sorts of border treatments; scallops, trims, pleats, or anything else which makes the edges of your papers and cards look special. You could use Border Punches, Die Cutters, Lace, Fancy Trims and that's just for starters - let your imagination live right on the edge this week - or maybe even go right over the edge! Here's what the DT have made this week to start you thinking

hmm ... I didn't add a sentiment here. The card seemed to be so full already.
Hier ohne Gruß, aber die Karte sah schon so voll aus.

hmmm ... Ich wollte ins neue Jahr mit einem eigenen Blog beginnen. Leider habe ich ihn bisher sträflichst vernachlässigt =( ... aber das wird jetzt besser!

Dieses Wochenende habe ich mich von Sketch Saturday inspirieren lassen und meine ersten Weihnachtskarten gebastelt.

Ich weiß, es ist erst Juli ... aber man kann nie früh genug mit Weihnachtskarten anfangen, oder???

Sketch Saturday inspired me this weekend and I made my first Christmas cards. I know it's July ... but you can never start too early, can you?

Daring Cardmakers Recycling

Daring Cardmakers asked to create cards with recycled items:
"We'd like you to do your bit for the planet and make a card using some recycled items."

I used an old calender sheet to make a birthday card.

Daring Cardmakers hat diese Woche dazu herausgefordert recycelte Gegenstände zu verbasteln. Ich habe ein altes Kalenderblatt verwendet, um diese Geburtstagskarte zu machen.
