DC time to say good-bye

It’s Friday again. Svenja picked the topic for the Daring Cardmakers.

But, well, we're going for something completely different this week because sometimes it just is
Time to say good-bye
Show us your ideas for farewell-cards. Could be retirement or leaving cards but sympathy cards are just as welcome. We all sadly need them from time to time and inspiration in the field is very welcome.

The end oft he school year is slowly coming up … and besides saying good bye to my class (as they will start secondary school), it’s also time to say goodbye to some of my colleagues.

I will miss my fellow English teacher who taught me so much, especially in my first years of teaching. She is retiring … and probably travelling the world in the next few years. If there are any places left where she hasn’t been yet.
She was/is also an admirer of my cards and placed some orders for personalised cards over the years.

Our trainee teacher sucessfully completed her trainee programme and will start as a „real teacher“ in a new school in September. I already wish her all the best for a bright future with a great job.

Oh, schon wieder Freitag 😉.

DC busy bee

Wohooo … it’s Friday! And I’m on my way to Cologne. A wedding, a new city to explore, some time with my boyfriend. Awesome!

I hope you’ll also have a great weekend.

Enfys picked the topic for the Daring Cardmakers. She wants to see busy bees on our cards this week.

I used one of the first stamps I ever bought. 2005 in a Michael’s* store on Long Island, USA. I even remember that I found the stamp in a sale box and I thought of making lots of „bee happy“ cards with it.

*And will never forget how my hostdad asked: „We are going?“ „Michael’s“ „Who’s that guy?!“

This time I used the German expression for „busy bee“ „fleißiges Bienchen“, because 90% of all recipients of my cards are German-speakers 😊.

Was will frau mehr?!

Hello, crafty friends! May is here and Ruth picked the picture for the Daring Cardmakers challenge.

As always on the first Friday oft he month we would love to see three elements of our elemental inspiration picture on your cards.

I’m still practising handlettering. And this time I was brave enough to use my handlettered greetings on my cards.

Here’s the one for Ruth’s challenge. I used pink, flowers and a handlettered sentiment:

Have an awesome and crafty weekend!
Habt ein wunderschĂśnes und kreatives Wochenende!
