DC December Colour Combo

Dawn picked her first colours for the Daring Cardmakers.

This weeks colour combination dare is  RED and BLUE (any shade)

I really do love seeing red and blue on Christmas cards or as a theme for your Christmas tree.  Something a little non traditional.  Hope this weeks challenge kick starts your creativeness ready for the festive season.

The English version is red and blue.

The German version is blue and silver.

Ich habe vor Wochen Jennifer McGuires Videoanleitung gesehen und musste es unbedingt einmal selbst ausprobieren einen Hintergrund aus verschiedenen Textstempeln zu erstellen. Ich bin mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden :-).

DC something old, something new

I love this week’s dare which was chosen by Lythan for our Daring Cardmakers blog.

 It is Lythan's turn to think of a challenge and I have gone for one that allows for "seasonal" choices but is also something fun if you have either smugly made all your cards or are still in denial about what happens near the end of December...

Something Old, Something New

Most paper crafters have something in their stash that they have bought but never got round to using.

I have tons of old things (I saved some papers for ages, because I just couldn’t bring myself to cut them apart …) and new things that have never been used. One or two things are actually still in their original packaging =).

Here I used old ribbon and a stamp, which I bought  two years ago, and my brand new embossing folder. I got the embossing folder from our lovely sponsor x cut (x cut Mistletoe Frame Embossing Folder A6) a few months ago and never used it before.

Diese Woche hat sich Lythan die Herausforderung der Daring Cardmakers überlegt. Sie möchte, dass ihr alte und neue Bastelsachen kombiniert. Das sollte kein großes Problem sein, oder?

Ich habe noch einiges Material, das ich aus verschiedenen Gründen seit Jahren horte (es gibt Papiere, da kann ich mich einfach nicht überwinden sie zu zerschneiden!) … und es gibt ein oder zwei Sachen, die noch originalverpackt im Bastelschrank liegen.

Für die Karte heute habe ich altes Band und einen Weihnachtsstempel, den ich vor 2 Jahren gekauft habe, mit meinem nagelneuen Embossing Folder von x cut (x cut Mistletoe Frame Embossing Folder A6) kombiniert. Unser lieber Sponsor hat mir im Sommer auch ein par Weihnachtssachen geschickt, für die ich bisher keine Verwendung hatte.

DC Light a candle

So this week I'd simply like to see some CANDLES on your cards, whether its just one candle or lots of them - and for any reason you want.

I used a real candle on a card years ago and I still remember that the recipient loved it. So I gave it another go.

Wir möchten KERZEN auf euren Karten sehen!

Vor Jahren habe ich bereits schon einmal eine echte Kerze auf eine Karte gebastelt und ich kann mich erinnern, dass es bei dem Empfänger der Karte sehr gut ankam. Und wenn sich jemand über meine Karte freut, freue ich mich auch. 

Also: auf ein Neues.

Leo picked a very trendy topic for the Daring Cardmakers this week.

Metallic is a big trend and I decided to make up a combo of different metallic tones mixed with a simple linen white.

You can use as many or as few of the colours as you like.
